In the context of cement products, cradle-to-gate LCA specifically focuses on the processes from the sourcing of raw materials (cradle) to production and packaging, up to the point where the product exits the production site (gate). This methodology enables manufacturers to identify opportunities for optimization and sustainability improvements by providing a comprehensive overview of resource consumption, energy use, and emissions. The cement industry can develop strategies to reduce its carbon footprint and support circular economy principles by analyzing these impacts.
