Chemicals management plays a crucial role in ensuring environmental sustainability in our production processes, safeguarding occupational health and safety, and fulfilling our commitments to our stakeholders. In this regard, we conduct our operations in compliance with both local regulations in Türkiye and international standards. We operate in compliance with applicable regulations in Türkiye, such as the Regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (KKDİK), the Regulation on Safety Data Sheets for Hazardous Substances and Preparations, and the Waste Management Regulation. In addition, we ensure compliance with the EU's REACH and CLP regulations in our operations, as well as international standards such as ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
We maintain records of all chemicals used at our facilities, regularly update safety data sheets, and ensure the proper storage of these substances. We strive to minimize the use of chemicals that may harm the environment and human health, and we continuously conduct research to transition to eco-friendly alternatives. We organize regular training programs to raise our employees' awareness of chemical safety and implement international best practices.
We manage our waste management processes within the framework of KKDİK and the Waste Management Regulation to minimize the environmental impact of chemicals. We classify our waste and carry out recycling and safe disposal processes using environmentally responsible methods. At the same time, we aim to completely eliminate the discharge of hazardous chemicals in line with the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) program.
We collaborate with both national and international stakeholders when developing our chemicals management policies. We work with global initiatives such as the UN Global Compact and industry-leading programs like ZDHC, while also ensuring full compliance with the regulations set by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change in Türkiye. We leverage digital solutions to ensure chemical traceability and develop innovative approaches by enhancing transparency in our supply chain.
