SAVE

The Limak Cement SAVE program was created to foster an organization that places people at the center, encourages interaction and interconnectedness, increases risk awareness, minimizes risk tolerance, and ensures a healthier and safer environment for Limak Cement employees and all stakeholders. The purpose of this program, which spans 3.5 years, is to build a healthier, safer, communicative, and continuously improving organization made up of exemplary individuals who demonstrate care for everyone and everything, everywhere, and in all aspects—particularly in Occupational Health & Safety—while making a positive contribution to society. Once this program is complete, we will all say, “It’s not just OHS for us; we have Limak Cement SAVE!

Limak Cement SAVE – Zero Tolerance Mottos

With the vision of Limak Cement SAVE, we strive to create positive value for ourselves, our stakeholders, and the society within our sphere of influence. We value ourselves and all our colleagues we work with. Our ultimate goal is to build a healthier, safer, communicative, and continuously improving organization made up of exemplary individuals who care for everyone and everything, everywhere… Within the framework of Limak Cement SAVE, the ‘Limak Cement SAVE – Zero Tolerance Mottos’ have been created based on feedback from our change leaders across all locations. As an entire organization, we are unconditionally committed to adhering to and enforcing the Zero Tolerance Mottos.

Limak Cement SAVE - OHS Executive Committee

As the Limak Cement Save OHS Steering Committee, which convenes regularly every month, we meticulously review the occupational health and safety practices at our facilities. With broad participation ranging from our CEO to general managers, and from the relevant unit directors to site managers, we continuously evaluate emergency measures for potential accidents. For situations with severe risk potential, or incidents that have occurred, we convene within 72 hours at the latest to carry out root-cause analyses and rapidly implement the necessary corrective actions. Following accidents, we share flash accident reports across the Group. We then address, on a monthly basis at the Central OHS Steering Committee, the actions taken and that can be taken regarding the incidents, as well as the lessons learned from them. Through the Limak Cement Save OHS Steering Committee, we aim to continuously improve our OHS performance company-wide through preventive methods, with broad participation and a strategic approach that goes beyond legal requirements. Ensuring practice-based standardization across all locations, encouraging the dissemination of good practices throughout the Group, and analyzing sector incidents to ensure that the necessary actions are taken are among the main topics on which we focus. In addition, with our proactive perspective, we carefully monitor the projects we have launched and make improvements.

Limak Cement SAVE - Periodic Performance Card

We track our proactive and reactive parameters, both at the group level for the overall picture and with location-based breakdowns for the finer details, as well as monitoring compliance with our parameter and location-specific targets, on a monthly basis through this card. This enables us to consistently identify areas for improvement in a timely manner and take swift action.
