Digitalization

Digitalization and OHS Management

As Limak Çimento, we continuously improve our occupational health and safety processes with a focus on digitalization; we design and implement our solutions in this area largely with our own internal resources and expert teams. Thanks to the LİMBES Save Information System, which we actively use through our in-house development approach, we manage all our OHS documentation on a secure digital infrastructure and strengthen traceability and data integrity by ensuring access to information at all times. While this structure increases both the speed and the accuracy of our audit processes, it also contributes to the sustainability of institutional memory. Our AI-platform OHS Audit and Analysis Application, developed with our internal resources, enables unsafe conditions and behaviors in the field to be detected in real time. The system, which simultaneously analyzes the data obtained through cameras, instantly notifies the relevant teams of potential risks, providing the opportunity for rapid and effective intervention. In this way, we reduce risks dependent on human initiative and support safe working environments with a proactive, data-driven and continuously learning OHS management model. As Limak Çimento, we manage energy-related risks with digital solutions. The Digital EKED (Tag–Lock–Secure–Try) system, developed by our in-house teams, tracks locking and tagging operations during maintenance and repair activities with real-time digital records, reducing the risk of human error and ensuring safe, transparent OHS management.

AI-Platform OHS Audit Application

As Limak Çimento, we strengthen the safety processes at our plants with artificial intelligence solutions developed by our in-house expert teams. By integrating our existing security cameras with AI software, we provide broader-scope and real-time monitoring of areas in the field. By adding OHS restrictions and instructions to risky units and working areas through the system, we have made it possible to rapidly detect and intervene in non-conformities. Thanks to this project, we increase the auditability of areas that could not previously be monitored, apply PPE use in the correct areas, and closely monitor the field safety of contractor and subcontractor personnel. While optimizing vehicle and traffic control, we encourage employees who have difficulty complying with the rules to work in an orderly manner. The project, carried out with our internal resources, allows us to continuously improve processes through retrospective data analysis and increases the effectiveness of our OHS management in a sustainable manner.

Digital EKED

Limak Çimento, which treats digitalization in occupational health and safety as a strategic lever, takes pioneering steps in the sector by implementing the Digital EKED (Tag–Lock–Secure–Try) application in the management of energy-related risks. This critical safety barrier, defined as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) in international occupational safety standards, aims to prevent the accidental energization of equipment during maintenance, repair and cleaning activities. With Digital EKED, physical locking and tagging processes are integrated into digital platforms, giving field practices a real-time, traceable and transparent structure. In this way, the risks of verbal communication, delay and human error encountered in traditional methods have been largely eliminated; EKED applications can be monitored in real time by control rooms and field teams. While audit processes are strengthened thanks to the digital recording infrastructure, employees' safety perception and behavioral awareness have also increased. As an important component of the Limak Cement Save approach, Digital EKED not only enhances operational safety but also contributes to the establishment of a strong OHS culture, the support of sustainability goals and the strengthening of corporate reputation.
